This designer has ignored the elements that are considered mandatory on a website,( i.e. a navigation bar, side menu, logo in top corner) and displayed his portfolio in a very direct way. By having just one page and only a small amount of copy you pretty much guarantee that your audience will see everything.
Everyday the fridge is updated with the best new sites and web design resources that emerge from the industry, and sometimes (when i get a spare minute) I sit at my desk and write an article.
